After a first World Cup organized in 1979 and brilliantly won by Ingemar Stenmark, the second edition had to wait until 2011 to make its comeback. With more than 20,000 spectators during the 2011 edition, the Courchevel Women’s World Cup has successfully returned to the world circuit.
Since then, every year in December, the best athletes from Marlies SCHILD to Mikaela SHIFFRIN via Tina MAZE, Eva Maria BREM, Marta BASSINO, or even Tessa WORLEY, compete on the Emile ALLAIS Stadium, recognized as very technical and demanding.
This 2023-2024 winter season, the World Cup will return on December 21st for a Slalom (SL – night event) which promises to be once again hotly contested.
